Social accountability SA8000:
Standard SA8000: 2008 is an internationally recognised system intended to protect all those involved directly or indirectly in the production system, from employees to external suppliers and collaborators who assist in the activity of the certified company.
HOLZHOF SRL regards:
• its own staff as a strategic resource: it will guarantee respect of their rights and promote their professional and personal growth;
• its own suppliers as partners for the development of Social Accountability;
• its own customers as a fundamental element of its own success: it will guarantee a service that reflects the ethical behaviour of the Company.
HOLZHOF SRL, as required by the standard, will observe and properly monitor the following:
• no use of labour of children or minors;
• no use or support of any form of “obligatory work”, i.e. compelling employees to work under duress of any kind;
• guarantee of the health and safety of its own staff and full observance of the relevant laws;
• guarantee of the freedom to join a trade union and the freedom of trade union members;
• no discrimination of any kind of or between employees;
• application of disciplinary procedures that fully respect the provisions of the law;
• working hours that meet the requirements of the law and national and local agreements;
• remuneration that meets the national contract and the supplementary company agreement;
• outside communication of the company’s own commitments under standard SA 8000;
• employment of suppliers who also observe the principles of standard SA 8000.
HOLZHOF SRL also undertakes to ensure that interested parties will be kept constantly and properly informed of the results of its own Social Accountability Management System.
